Cykl, 2015

700 x 140 cm, paperboard   While drawing, I like to play with the space, materiality, texture, contrast and to mix various techniques, at the same time balancing on the border between studious observation of the anatomy and imagining completely fictional areas. The "Cykl" series is a diploma annex and it's a continuation of the "Id" series. The intention of the atypical horizontal format was the creation process based on continuity and the ability to expand the already existing work for new "episodes".  The character from the drawing is inspired by the motions caught on camera by Eadweard  Muybridge and her, not always consistent, body parts move through the imaginary space. To the surface of the drawings are also attached some fragments of my sketchbooks, palettes and notes, often absurd and silly, creating the contrast between studious and the quick idle creation process. Id, 2014-15

100 x 560 cm, paperboard Two series of long horizontal drawings that were a part of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts exhibiton for "Night of Museums" in 2014 and then inspired me during my diploma annex in Drawing. The experiment on space, form, colour nuances and the usage of tools. The long, horizontal form of the drawings functioned as a challenge for my own visual imagination and was the idea for a way to escape the restrictions imposed usually by the paper format. Dwa podłużne cykle rysunków, które były eksponowane podczas Nocy Muzeów w 2014 r. na warszawskiej Akademii Sztuk Pięknych i stanowią wstęp do aneksu z rysunku, którego podjęłam się rok później. Eksperyment nad przestrzenią, formą, niuansami kolorystycznymi i narzędziem. Podłużna, pozioma forma prac była przemyślana jako wyzwanie dla mojej własnej wyobraźni wizualnej i funkcjonowała jako pomysł na wyjście rysunku spoza ograniczenia narzucanego zazwyczaj przez format.
